Information for providers
We work with communities, NGOs and government agencies to support vulnerable children and young people. Here you'll find information about funding for providers, including the funding code of practice.
Any community-based organisation that provides social services can apply for funding.
We invite applications for funding throughout the year. A panel of selectors assesses funding applications, which are made up of either regional or community-based and national representatives.
Our regional staff work with communities, and other government and local government agencies to identify what’s needed in their local community.
At the beginning of each calendar year a regional funding plan is developed, based on government priorities, any needs identified, and the amount of funding available.
Funding opportunities are announced here on our website, and:
- Ministry of Social Development website
- New Zealand Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) website
- our regional offices
- community sector networks and collaborations.
